Restaurants in London

In restaurants, reviews on October 14, 2008 at 10:27 pm

If you are look to visit  london over the next few week and are look to dine out then here are a few restaurants in london.

Brackenbury

The Brackenbury is a local treasure. Tucked away down a leafy West London side street it offers gourmet food at ridiculously reasonable prices. A timely overhaul of the once lurid interior has created a wonderfully soothing space where locals and BBC glitterati come to bask in the intimate vibe. Menus change seasonally and the friendly owner ensures that only the freshest ingredients find their way into her kitchen.

The Savoy Grill

The Savoy Grill virtually never closes. Furthermore, the simple but perfectly sourced, steak meals are the ideal restorative after a hard party the night before, and their barman makes one of the best Bloody Mary’s in the world. Take shelter from the elements and give your body and senses a treat with a blow-out at the Grill. By the time coffee and dessert arrives, you’ll feel ready to take on the world.

Giardinetto Restaurant

Discreetly tucked away, just off Piccadilly, Giardinetto oozes exclusivity and sophistication. With its frosted glass windows, automated entry system and slick attentive service this restaurant fits seamlessly into its Mayfair location – a definite improvement on its previous basement premises in Charlotte Street. Despite the move across town, Head Chef Maurizio Vilona continues to offer Ligurian specialities, as well as classic Italian dishes with a twist.

Shanghai Blues

Cross the threshold of Shanghai Blues and plunge into its dimly lit innards. Nattily dressed oriental waitresses guide you through the solid lines of its dark, distinctive interior. Touches like the weighty blue stools and the elliptical tumblers demonstrate the lavish attention to detail.

Taste bud priming entrées including crunchy chick peas, pickled cucumbers and classic prawn crackers lead the way for the diverse and reputation-deserving Dim Sum.

d’Arry’s Cart & Horses restaurant Winchester

In restaurants, reviews on August 31, 2008 at 9:48 pm

Having recently been to see my brother, his wife and thier daughter in winchester for a weekend with my family we stopped off at little pub for lunch, but the pub was closing at 3pm. Living near manchester pub and restaurants dont close at 3pm, they stay open all day even  evening meals are available.

d'Arry's Cart & Horses

Anyway we lucky found another pub about 2miles from the centre of Winchester on the junction of the A31 and B3404. From the outside the pub is traditional old white with red tiled roof (must have been thatched at some point). Looks very nice. Lots of seating outside the Restaurant / Pub nice large carpark at the rear and also a patio at the rear too.

Walking into the restaurant / pub you are plesantly greated by a member of staff. The restaurant has been recently be refurbished to a very high standard (unknown to us). It looks very nice cross between mexican and cosy pub, sounds bad but it works really well.

Food at d'Arry's Cart & Horses

The food is the best bit of the whole thing wow is the right way to describe this. I had fish and chips my brother had steak and chips. These photos will do the talking.

As you can see this photo was not taken by a moblie photo and not a promo shot for the restauant.

If you are ever in winchester and want good food at a very good price I would certantly recomend going to d’Arry’s Cart & Horses.

“Before I wrote this article a looked round the internet for reviews about this restaurant / pub and found lots of reviews about the old Cart & Horses before d’Arry’s took over and restyle this lovely pub / restaurant. So if you do find reviews a bout this place please make sure they are about the new d’Arry’s Cart & Horses in Winchester!”
