Dil Se Restaurant in Bury.

Well for Valentines Day, me and my husband went for a meal at Dil Se, in Radcliffe near Bury. Before going i had a dodgy stomach and was contemplating cancelling our meal. After working a stressful week i thought screw it we’re going! We were booked in for 8:oopm so we got there about 7:50 so we could settle down and get ourselves a drink. The pleasant waitress took us to our seats and got us our drinks, mine was a bottle of wine, hubbies was a pint of lager.

It was a set menu but you had a choice of about 3 starters, 5 main and about 3 desserts. We both ordered the same starter which was a lamb kebab, this chicken thing, and some salad. It was delicious especially the kebab. The waiter then asked us if we were ready for our main, but my stomach was griping yet again so we asked if we could wait a few minutes, so the waiter was very nice and said he would come back in a few minutes. So after about 10 minutes our main arrived and boy was there alot! I ordered the chefs special, and my husband ordered the chicken korai. We both tried each others curries, and they were both really nice but mine could have done with a bit more kick. I’m used to having korai’s and they seem to be a bit hotter than the chefs special.

With my stomach being off we didn’t get to have our sweet which was a a heart shaped ice cream and a lovely box of chocolates. We explained to the waiter the situation with my stomach and they were nice enough to give us our sweet in a bag and take it home. Ha ha i bet they were glad to see the back of me! Not because i could have been seen as a bad advert, with the stomach,  but because when i went to the toilet in between starter and main, i didn’t realise that my skirt was stuck in my knickers and i only realised when i got home!! NICE!

To sum up our meal at Dil Se, i would have to say it was very nice, service was good, maybe the music could have been a bit louder for a bit more atmosphere. I would say thumbs up!
