Well for Valentines Day, me and my husband went for a meal at Dil Se, in Radcliffe near Bury. Before going i had a dodgy stomach and was contemplating cancelling our meal. After working a stressful week i thought screw it we’re going! We were booked in for 8:oopm so we got there about 7:50 so we could settle down and get ourselves a drink. The pleasant waitress took us to our seats and got us our drinks, mine was a bottle of wine, hubbies was a pint of lager.

It was a set menu but you had a choice of about 3 starters, 5 main and about 3 desserts. We both ordered the same starter which was a lamb kebab, this chicken thing, and some salad. It was delicious especially the kebab. The waiter then asked us if we were ready for our main, but my stomach was griping yet again so we asked if we could wait a few minutes, so the waiter was very nice and said he would come back in a few minutes. So after about 10 minutes our main arrived and boy was there alot! I ordered the chefs special, and my husband ordered the chicken korai. We both tried each others curries, and they were both really nice but mine could have done with a bit more kick. I’m used to having korai’s and they seem to be a bit hotter than the chefs special.

With my stomach being off we didn’t get to have our sweet which was a a heart shaped ice cream and a lovely box of chocolates. We explained to the waiter the situation with my stomach and they were nice enough to give us our sweet in a bag and take it home. Ha ha i bet they were glad to see the back of me! Not because i could have been seen as a bad advert, with the stomach, but because when i went to the toilet in between starter and main, i didn’t realise that my skirt was stuck in my knickers and i only realised when i got home!! NICE!

To sum up our meal at Dil Se, i would have to say it was very nice, service was good, maybe the music could have been a bit louder for a bit more atmosphere. I would say thumbs up!

If you fancy trying this restaurant visit eat-out-uk.com for more information.

Having just booked a Christmas lunch for a few friends I thought you would all like to know a few good restaurants in Manchester. Many of you will be going out around Christmas time even though there is a credit crunch on. The Favorite locations are The Printworks, The gay village or the Triangle. But trying to find a good restaurant that is nearby one of those 3 location without trudging across Manchester city centre is quite hard but I will help you. So here goes location number 1

The Printworks

Within 0.2 miles of the printworks you have the Wagamama – Printworks serving up trendy Japanese style cuisine. Market Restaurant a small friendly restaurant in the Northern Quarter of Manchester and Stock Restaurant Housed within the Edwardian splendour of Manchester’s former Stock Exchange, STOCK has rapidly become renowned as the city’s premier Italian Restaurant.

The Gay Village

Within 0.15 miles we have 9 restaurants mainly because the location is quite close to china town but there are a few other restaurants in Chinese is not to your fancy. Brasserie on Portland 0.1 miles from the Gay village which is a Modern European Restaurant. Why not try Che Tapas Bar Club Spanish Restaurant which is still only 0.15 miles away. The nearest to Canal st is New Samsi Japanese Restaurant which is only a stones throw away.

Finally we have:

The Triangle

With the triangle right next door to the printworks why not go there for food.

Thanks and I hope this has help you with all your Manchester city centre restaurants.

For all the restaurants in Manchester why not visit www.eat-out-uk.com

If you are look to visit london over the next few week and are look to dine out then here are a few restaurants in london.

Brackenbury

The Brackenbury is a local treasure. Tucked away down a leafy West London side street it offers gourmet food at ridiculously reasonable prices. A timely overhaul of the once lurid interior has created a wonderfully soothing space where locals and BBC glitterati come to bask in the intimate vibe. Menus change seasonally and the friendly owner ensures that only the freshest ingredients find their way into her kitchen.

The Savoy Grill

The Savoy Grill virtually never closes. Furthermore, the simple but perfectly sourced, steak meals are the ideal restorative after a hard party the night before, and their barman makes one of the best Bloody Mary’s in the world. Take shelter from the elements and give your body and senses a treat with a blow-out at the Grill. By the time coffee and dessert arrives, you’ll feel ready to take on the world.

Giardinetto Restaurant

Discreetly tucked away, just off Piccadilly, Giardinetto oozes exclusivity and sophistication. With its frosted glass windows, automated entry system and slick attentive service this restaurant fits seamlessly into its Mayfair location – a definite improvement on its previous basement premises in Charlotte Street. Despite the move across town, Head Chef Maurizio Vilona continues to offer Ligurian specialities, as well as classic Italian dishes with a twist.

Shanghai Blues

Cross the threshold of Shanghai Blues and plunge into its dimly lit innards. Nattily dressed oriental waitresses guide you through the solid lines of its dark, distinctive interior. Touches like the weighty blue stools and the elliptical tumblers demonstrate the lavish attention to detail.

Taste bud priming entrées including crunchy chick peas, pickled cucumbers and classic prawn crackers lead the way for the diverse and reputation-deserving Dim Sum.

Having being brought up in Bolton myself and liking the Italian Cuisine and being married to a woman who like Italian food, I believe I know a few good restaurants in Bolton that Serve Italian dishes.

I will list a few and also point out the good and bad points for each one and where you can find these restaurants:
1) In first place is a little restaurant on the outskirts of Bolton which has changed it name a few time over the years but the food is excellent.

Toto Ristorante

Toto’s has also been known as San Roco too.
The food is 9/10.
The waiter are of italian origan.
The atmosphere is about 7/10 but it quiet if you need it to be.
Location is not to bad either on the edge of the coutryside with a few local pubs to visit after the restaurant. If you want to book this place you have to book at least a week in advance.

Overall 9/10 for Toto Restaurant near Bolton.

2) A very close second is San Marino’s Restaurant and Bar north of Bolton near the village of Belmont.

San Marino’s Restaurant and Bar

The food is 8/10.
The waiter are of italian origan.
The atmosphere is about 8/10 live piano player most weekend.
This also a celeb restaurant too having seen Jussi and Big Sam in this restaurant on my last too visits.
Location is what sells this restaurant stunning views of the north york moors even eating outside on a summers eve. about 1/2 mile away are a few local pubs to visit after the restaurant.
If you want to book this place you have to book at least a week in advance too.

Overall 8.5/10 for San Marino’s Restaurant and Bar in Bolton.

3) Last but not least in a restaurant hidden away in the centre of Bolton down a side street (wood street) with a very common name but should be confused with a large takeaway chain.

Pizza Express

The food is 7.5/10 mainly pizza.
The waiter are of italian origan.
The atmosphere is about 6-8/10 depending which floor you are on 1 (quiet) or 3 (private Parties).
Location of this restaurant is right in the middle of Bolton town centre about 2 mins walk to 15 or so pubs and bars to visit after the restaurant.
Advance bookings at weekend is recomended.

Overall 7.8/10 for Pizza Express in Bolton.

There you go 3 top Italian restaurants in Bolton for you to visit. If you do visit the why not leave a review of them at www.eat-out-uk.com

Have a good night and enjoy Italian food.

Having recently been to see my brother, his wife and thier daughter in winchester for a weekend with my family we stopped off at little pub for lunch, but the pub was closing at 3pm. Living near manchester pub and restaurants dont close at 3pm, they stay open all day even evening meals are available.

Anyway we lucky found another pub about 2miles from the centre of Winchester on the junction of the A31 and B3404. From the outside the pub is traditional old white with red tiled roof (must have been thatched at some point). Looks very nice. Lots of seating outside the Restaurant / Pub nice large carpark at the rear and also a patio at the rear too.

Walking into the restaurant / pub you are plesantly greated by a member of staff. The restaurant has been recently be refurbished to a very high standard (unknown to us). It looks very nice cross between mexican and cosy pub, sounds bad but it works really well.

Food at d'Arry's Cart & Horses

The food is the best bit of the whole thing wow is the right way to describe this. I had fish and chips my brother had steak and chips. These photos will do the talking.

As you can see this photo was not taken by a moblie photo and not a promo shot for the restauant.

If you are ever in winchester and want good food at a very good price I would certantly recomend going to d’Arry’s Cart & Horses.

“Before I wrote this article a looked round the internet for reviews about this restaurant / pub and found lots of reviews about the old Cart & Horses before d’Arry’s took over and restyle this lovely pub / restaurant. So if you do find reviews a bout this place please make sure they are about the new d’Arry’s Cart & Horses in Winchester!”

Find more restaurants in winchester at eat-out-uk.com

Having looked at many of the reviews on eat-out-uk.com I can say that if you are near Barry in South Glamorgan in Wales and you need to find somewhere to eat please visit on of the following places.

The Gallery Restaurant Bar & Exhibition Space

Review – “very good locally sourced top quality ingredients, cooked to perfection and served with equal speed and professionalism, great atmosphere, warm and accomodating knowledgeable staff. would highly recommend it to anyone for a party or intimate meal.Very nice, clean facilities. We enjoyed the experience and will go back for more.” 5 star.

Or why not try

Oriental Diner

Review – “Amazing food, staff & hygiene. if you go before 5:00 its only £6 and if you go after that it is £11*.I take my hat of to the chief . amazing place nice for adults and children. as you walk in there is a beautiful water feature, were you can make a wish while tossing in your loose change (1p + ) I advise you to eat there the only downfall is you may never eat anywhere else its all you need in a restaurant. when you have paid it is a buffet all you can eat (time to be greedy/hungry)I am pleased : ) *it might be more but only 50p more £11 round about.” 5 Stars.

If you wish to review a restaurant why not visit www.eat-out-uk.com and leave a review there.
